The introduction, adoption and evolution of cloud computing in the Enterprise has been dogged by misinformation, hazy definitions and failed assumptions. As the infrastructure to support Edge computing becomes more widely available, we’re seeing a similar ’signal to noise’ problem in understanding this ‘new’ paradigm and identifying clear strategies for Enterprise adoption. This talk presents a playbook for Enterprise adoption, based on a world where we no longer discuss ’the edge’ as a discrete facility or layer but simply assume it’s ubiquity and availability as part of a connected overall capability we continue to optimise through the next generations of our Enterprise cloud evolution strategies.
